My First Month’s Cost of Hosting a Hugo Blog on AWS

I just got my first AWS billing statement after starting this Hugo blog. I have the normal stack of storing in S3 and pushing to the web with Cloudfront. My AWS bill in April was 17 cents and the bill for May is 22 cents. This means the total cost for hosting in May for my Hugo blog is just 5 cents.

The entire 5 cents comes from S3. I was charged nothing for Cloudfront which means I’m still in the free tier. And I suspect most of the 5 cents came from me cleaning up old files and experimenting with setting things up. Lets see what I get for June.
